OUR CONSULTANCY PROCESS

BAFA will be there to lead and support you.

From our introduction meeting through to the achievement of your certification we will guide you and your team.

Through all stages of your system development and certification process we can communicate for you on your behalf with the certification body you select. We can also assist you in this selection process.

We are also able to provide you with System maintenance support once you become certified.

THE PROCESS TO CERTIFICATION

INITIAL INTRODUCTION

We will meet to gain an understanding of your business and of your requirements and expectations, while providing you with an insight into our methodology to ensure total transparency into the process we will work through to get you certified. This importantly also provides the opportunity for you to get to know us and for us to provide valuable experience and insights where required.

PHASE 1

Pre-assessment and planning

An in-depth assessment will be carried out with you and your staff to review and discuss your operations, reviewing any current documentation or processes you have established. These reviews will be undertaken with the aim to, where feasible, reduce further costs. We will also gain an understanding of how involved you would like your staff to be and if you intend for them to assist in the development of your system as a way of reducing costs. 

We will conduct a gap analysis against the standard requirements and an in-depth implementation plan will be prepared for the various stages, including a timeline for completion for your review and agreement.

PHASE 2

System development

BAFA will develop all System documentation required for your management system in-line with our agreement.

We will provide training for your organisation as required for the Standard or program implemented.

 

BAFA will handover your System documentation.

 

An internal audit will be performed to determine the implementation and conformance of your newly established system against the Standard. From this we will act to resolve any issues raised. This will also serve as the full system internal review required for certification.

We will assist you in the conduct of any meetings and participate in these should you require in-line with the Standard requirements.

PHASE 3

Certification process

The Certification Process consists of two separate audits, Stage 1 and Stage 2. These will be conducted by the Certification Body of your choice. The purpose of the Stage 1 Audit is to determine how ready a business is for Certification and to progress to the Stage 2 Audit. The Stage 2 Audit is the actual audit where certification is recommended or not. 

  • During the certification audits (Stage 1 & Stage 2 Audits), we will attend and provide support and guidance and assist to answer any questions should you require us.


  • BAFA will assist to provide resolution for any non-conformities raised through the Certification Body Audit Reports.

POST CERTIFICATION SUPPORT

System maintenance

  • We will assist with the conduct of your internal audits and recommendations to resolve issues


  • Provide ongoing training to staff


  • Assist to ensure maintenance activities are conducted as planned


  • Participate and guide required reviews such as management review meetings or system required meetings
